The bad news is Alefest 2016 is sold out. The good news is it’s bigger than last year and expected to bring in well over the $11,000 it did last year. The proceeds will go to Ronald McDonald House in Vancouver where they’ve sponsored a room for 3 years. Plus they’re going to help fund a children’s charity right here in PG.
Kiwanis Alefest is a celebration of craft brewing in BC. There are 15 breweries involved in the event. 14 we know about and one to be announced. They’re saving that announcement for a little closer to the event. So if you don’t have a ticket you’re SOL. So plan ahead for next year! Sleep in the bushes outside where ever they make the announcement. Then pounce when they open the ticket wicket! Ok I’m blathering now but I’ve been sampling some of their finest.
If you do have a ticket, Friday Jan 29 and Saturday the 30th are your days to enjoy some great food, sample som fine craft beer and argue with your buddies about which beer is best. Enjoy your research.
