Robert Plant and Alison Krauss did and album 13 years ago called “Raising Sand.” It won six GRAMMYs, including Album of the Year. And they’re doing it again Their new album is called “Raise the Roof,” and it’ll be out November 19th.
There’s one original song, “High and Lonesome,” but the rest are covers of songs by Merle Haggard, Allen Toussaint, and the Everly Brothers, as well as the just released cover of Lucinda Williams’ 1988 song “Can’t Let Go.” You can hear that one below. -Doug Jones
“The Metallica Blacklist,” is a 53-track tribute album to Metallica’s 1991 release “The Black Album,” and it drops next month (September 10.) There are a tons of artists covering all the songs from that album. On one them id country artist Chris Stapleton. He is one of two artists covering Metallica’s ‘Nothing Else Matters.’ The other is Phoebe Bridgers. check out Chris’s version below.
