April 20th is also Pineapple Upside-Down Cake Day! This delectably weird gastronomical delight goes back to medieval times, but it made a big comeback when is celebrated in the modern age. Then Jim Dole started canning pineapples in 1903 and in 1925 his Hawaiian Pineapple company published a Pineapple Upside Down Cake recipe and the craze was reborn!
