Eric Clapton has announced his next batch of live dates. This fall, he’ll hit the west coast for concerts in California, Nevada and Arizona. Tickets for the shows go on sale this Friday, April 26th at 10am local time. On September 11th, Clapton will play the Chase Center in San Francisco. Then he’ll head over to Las Vegas on September 13th for a show at the T-Mobile Arena. Finally, he’ll play the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix on September 14th.  After that, fans can look forward to the fifth edition of his Crossroads Guitar Festival. The event happens at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas on September 20th and 21st.

John Lennon’s teenage years is about to be the subject of a new musical. The 2009 movie “Nowhere Boy,” which starred Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the young Lennon, is in the early stages of being turned into a musical, and is expected to open in the UK “in next few years.”  “Nowhere Boy” tells the story of Lennon’s relationship with his mother Julia and her sister Mimi Smith, and takes place around the time he formed the pre-Beatles band the Quarryman.  “We’ve just secured the rights of the film,” producer Brian Lee tells Deadline, “and as a team we’ll be traveling to London this summer, trying to figure out the right person to bring this narrative to life.”  This musical is not authorized by Yoko Ono, and will not feature any actual Beatles songs. Instead, it’s expected to feature music of the late 50s, which inspired Lennon in his younger days. Source: Deadline
Paul Stanley has revealed what led him to pursue stardom with KISS. In a new interview with Dan Rather, the rockstar says that for him, fame was a way of “compensating” for his “insecurities.”  In particular, he suffered growing up due to a birth defect, a microtia [[my-crow-sha]], which he describes as “basically not having an ear” and being deaf on one side. “I wasn’t very socially adept,” he explains. “And when you have something physical that sets you apart from people, it makes you the target of unrelenting scrutiny and sometimes ridicule.” Stanley feels “blessed” to be a part of KISS, since the band has allowed him to be himself and not have to be changed by fame. “That led me on a course that I’m still on today,” he adds. “Where it’s taking me, God only knows.” Check out a clip.  Source: Rolling Stone

Assisted living facility hired male ‘dancers’ to serve dinner to their seniors

The Rolling Stones have put their No Filter” tour on hold will Mick recovers from heart surgery but…they’ve got something for fans.  They are releasing a best of album spanning 1971 (where Hot Rocks left off,) to their 2016 album of covers, “Blues & Lonseome.”
