The U-N World Food Program says 1.4-million people are in need of immediate help after Nepals earthquake Saturday. So far the death toll is over 4,400. People are sleeping in the streets under tents in the rain because they are too afraid to go back into what’s left of their homes.
Helicopters fill the air above hard-hit areas of Nepal trying to rescue survivors.
Pilots are ferrying the injured to clinics and taking emergency supplies back to remote villages cut off from any other transportation. A Canadian Forces transport plane is to arrive near the region tomorrow with thousands of kilograms of relief supplies and equipment.
