Yesterday we were talking about Paul McCartney and James Corden hanging out in Paul’s old neighbourhood. We kinda thought he might be doing a segment of “Carpool Karaoke” with Corden and…we were right. It’ll air next week on “The Late Late Show with James Corden.” Cher and Foo Fighters are also among the guests next week. The 49th Annual Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction and Awards ceremony is tonight in New York. John Mellencamp, Alan Jackson, members of Kool & the Gang will be honoured. Neil Diamond is getting the hall’s highest honour, the Johnny Mercer Award. He’s getting the award for his huge catalogue of work. Neil will also be honoured with a Grammy lifetime achievement award on a PBS special July 14th.
