Elton John celebrated the 25th anniversary of his AIDS foundation with a gala in New York City and a prediction that the AIDS epidemic will end by 2030. The Elton John AIDS Foundation has raised more than 385-million-dollars since it was launched in 1992. Last night’s gala that featured former U-S president Bill Clinton, singer Aretha Franklin and actress Glenn Close raised about 4.4-million-dollars
Iron Maiden lead singer Bruce Dickinson was once the target of bullying. He writes about being bullied as a student in boarding school in his new book, “What Does This Button Do?” Dickinson says a really nasty bullying experience “leaves a permanent mark on your insides.” He says it can manifest differently in different people. For him, it makes him very angry to see someone else being bullied. Dickinson says, “It’s a bit like Hulk. You don’t want to see me when I’m angry.” ”What Does This Button Do?“ is out now.

The Killers and Imagine Dragons are headlining a benefit concert next month to help the victims of the shooting at an outdoor music festival in Las Vegas. Organizers yesterday announced the performers of the December 1st concert at T-Mobile Arena will include magician David Copperfield, magic duo Penn and Teller, and Cirque du Soleil performers.
Metallica‘s will live stream a benefit concert for victims of recent California wildfires. The Band Together Bay Area concert will be streamed at Metallica-dot-com, Metallica’s YouTube Channel and their Facebook page. Metallica will be the last act. The concert begins at 5:45 p-m Pacific tomorrow (November 9.)
