Many civic facilities open doors for free this weekend
A weekend of fun – and free – activities is planned for this weekend, in honour of Prince
George’s 100th birthday on March 6, 2015.
“We have some of the best facilities of any city our size in Canada. They’ve been imagined,
financed, and built by the people of Prince George over the past 100 years, and one way to say
thanks is to throw open the doors for the weekend, ” said Mayor Lyn Hall. “It’s especially
important given the support people showed during the 2015 Canada Winter Games, when
many facilities were not open to the public.”
Following is a list of facilities and activities that are free to the public this weekend:

The Exploration Place: 9:00am to 5:00pm. Free admission and activities
St. Mary’s Hall: 10:00am to 2:00pm. FrancoFun, including sugar shack, activities and a
concert (free except for paid admission for brunch).
Two Rivers Art Gallery: 10:00am to 5:00pm. Free admission.
Two Rivers Art Gallery: 10:30am to 1:00pm. Free exhibition tour.
Railway & Forestry Museum: 11:00am to 4:00pm. Free admission and activities.
Prince George Coliseum: 12:30pm to 2:00pm. Free family skating.
Aquatic Centre and Four Seasons Pool 1:30pm to 3:10pm. 100 minutes of free
admission.
