Foo Fighters on a break?…nope, they’re coming out with a new album September 15th. It’s called “Concrete and Gold,” and you can pre-order your copy HERE. Plus they’re going on a world tour, beginning October 12th.
Brian Wilson turned 75 yesterday (June 20) and he’s releasing a retrospective of his solo work. The album is titled “Playback” and it’s out September 22nd. He’s had 9 solo albums and this one features 18 songs including two new ones, “Run James Run,” which he wrote for this album and and a song he wrote in the 90’s called “Some Sweet Day.”
Marvel has come up with comic book covers to honour some rock album covers including; Nirvana’s “Nevermind,” Guns N’ Roses’ “Appetite For Destruction,” The Clash‘s “London Calling” and Blondie‘s “Parallel Lines.” Check out the previews. They’ll be out this fall.
And The battle continues over former Lynyrd Skynyrd drummer, Artimus Pyle’s movie “Street Survivors: The True Story of the Lynyrd Skynyrd Plane Crash.” The band says it violates their 1988 consent order and Pyle’s producer says it’s an attack on freedom of Speech. The trial of “Street Survivors” starts July 11th.
