Bruce Springsteen is releasing a live recording of his August 23rd, 2008 concert in St. Louis, which was part of his E Street Band tour in support of “Magic.” Thanks to sign requests from the audience, the concert features several songs he and the band hadn’t played in years, including the Crystals‘ “Then He Kissed Me” and Harold Dorman’s “Mountain of Love,” as well as a cover of Chuck Berry’s “Little Queenie.” The album will be sold through Bruce’s archival site, with physical copies of the record shipping on May 1st.
Billy Joel brought actor Kevin Spacey to the stage at his latest concert at New York’s Madison Square Garden. They sang “New York State of Mind.” Check it out.
Ann and Nancy Wilson haven’t spoken much in a while. The tiff is over an incident that happened after a concert last year in Auburn Washington when Ann’s husband Dean Witter was arrested for striking and choking Nancy’s twin sons. This year he pleaded guilty to two non-felony assault charges in the fourth degree. He was sentenced on Friday. As part of a plea deal, Dean received a jail sentence of 364 days, although all the time has been suspended. He also must pay restitution, will be on probation, and has to undergo counseling and have no contact with the boys. The boys are 16. Click the pic for the full story from Pollstar.
