So how hard is it to replace those big shoes? Phil X is doing it quite nicely. He replaced Richie Sambora in Bon Jovi while Richie was in rehab a few years back. Now he’s a full member of the band and he’s on the new album “This House is Not For Sale.” He said when he first replaced Sambora at shows people held up “Where’s Richie” signs, then they started seeing a few “Phil X” signs in the crowd. That’s gotta make you feel good Phil…now stay away from the pharmacy! Here’s the title track of the album.
Such sneeky boys. Green Day dissed president elect Donald Trump in one of their songs at the American Music Awards. During ‘Bang, Bang’ they sang “No Trump! No KKK! No fascist USA!” C’mon, it’s not like it’s a big secret Green Day hates Trump and hey it’s rock and roll. Check it out…It’s at the 2:10 mark of the video.
More Frank Zappa is coming via vinyl. On December 9th they’re releasing “Lumpy Gravy,” “We’re Only In It For The Money,” “Cruising With Ruben & The Jets,” “Weasels Ripped My Flesh” and “Joe’s Garage.”
Who said it?…”I want to mature, I want to be happier in life – I think everyone kinda does – at some point I had to turn around and embrace that anger that has been with me since youth.” That’s Metallica’s James Hetfield. He was talking about coming up with lyrics for Metalica’s new album Hardwired to Self Destruct. And Metallica has just recorded their first BBC session.
