Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr walked the blue carpet together for the premiere of Ron Howard’s new documentary “The Beatles: Eight Days a Week” at The Odeon Leicester Square. Yoko Ono, and George Harrison’s widow Olivia Harrison were also there.

Billboard is adding Bon Jovi to their Legends of Live list. The award is for Bon Jovi’s “professionalism and steadfast commitment to the art and craft of live performance.” Others on the list include; Bob Seger, Lionel Richie, Sir Elton John, Neil Diamond, George Strait, Rush, Journey, the Allman Brothers Band, and Ozzy Osbourne. And Sting is getting the BMI Icon Award for his career and influence on popular music.When you go see Oliver Stone’s new movie “Snowden,” you’ll hear Peter Gabriel’s song, “The Veil.” It was written for the movie (pretty obvious when you hear the lyrics) The video has some clips of the movie and of Snowden. So a bunch of memorabilia dating to Black Sabbath‘s early days, when they were known as Earth, was supposed to be auctioned off but Ozzy Osbourne‘s family bought the whole lot just to keep it intact. They’re now the proud owners of publicity poster and flyers, hand written lyrics, a shoebox or two full of personal postcards from Ozzy to his parents from the late 60’s & early 70’s….now they just have to find a closet to stuff it into.
