This Saturday is Tragically Hip Day across Canada and there are a couple events in Prince George to celebrate the Hip’s Final concert and raise funds for brain cancer research:
DAY EVENT – Fundraising BBQ
TIME: 11am – 2pm
PLACE: Civic Centre Plaza
DETAILS: Hangout with us for music, BBQ, a message board where fans can write notes which will be sent to the band afterwards, a photo booth, and a raffle for a Hip prize pack. Family friendly event. Join us for lunch.
EVENING EVENT – Live Concert Broadcast
TIME: 4:30pm – 8:30pm
PLACE: Ramada Hotel Prince George, BC
DETAILS: Watch the CBC and The Tragically Hip presents “The Tragically Hip: A National Celebration” at the Ramada Hotel Downtown Prince George. Multiple large screens will show the broadcast in the Cranbrook Ballroom so fans can celebrate the band and their music. In accordance with the Hip’s wishes, tickets are free, and volunteers from the Canadian Cancer Society will be on hand to collect donations for brain cancer research.
