Paul McCartney has announced that he’s releasing his first ever children’s book, “Hey Grandude!,” next year. The picture book was illustrated by Kathryn Durst. The book follows the main character Grandude and his four grandchildren who he calls “Chillers.” In a video announcement, the music legend explains that he was inspired by his own eight grandchildren, who call him “Grandude.” “I wanted to write it for grandparents everywhere – and the kids – so it gives you something to read to the grandkids at bedtime,” McCartney notes in the video. Check it out to the right. “Hey Grandude!” will be published in September of 2019. You can pre-order it through the publisher HERE.
