Other than his bandmates, Paul also shared his love of Stevie Wonder, calling him a “musical monster.”
When asked what one song he wished he’d written, he said it was Sting’s “Fields of Gold,” noting, “It’s quite good.” He also called Kanye West’s album “Dark Twisted Fantasy” a good album, adding, “It’s the reason I wanted to work with him.” Check out the full interview here.

Billy Joel recently headlined his 100th sold out concert at Madison Square Garden in New York, and it doesn’t sound like he’s about to stop anytime soon. In case you missed it, in an interview with “Vulture,” Billy insists he isn’t ready to retire, noting, “There have been times when I’ve felt these are my last shows; it’s time for me to get off the bleeding stage. Then I just thought, nah.”
But when he does finally feel ready to hang it up, Billy knows exactly how he wants to go out, and it’s a bit strange. He says his stage will be set up like a living room with a couch, TV, coffee table and food. “And there’s bulletproof glass between me and the audience,” he says. “Then I come out and lay down on the couch. I grab the remote and start watching TV. The crowd after a couple minutes goes, “Fuck this,” and starts throwing shit at the glass.”
He adds, “I’ll have created a bond between me and the audience where I know they will never pay another nickel to see me again.”

The book will be the first in the KISS star’s series “Simmons Books.” The publishers are calling the book a “witty, insightful and no-B.S. take on the myth, and the actual people, that make up the ’27 Club’.” Simmons plans to dive into how the 27 Club curse started with the death of music legends like Rolling Stones’ Brian Jones, Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix, leading up to the death of Amy Winehouse in 2011. But the 250-page book won’t be all doom and gloom, the publishers say, “Simmons will acknowledge the extraordinary lives, not the sensational deaths, of the musicians and artists.”

Fans of the Who don’t have to wait much longer for Roger Daltrey’s anticipated memoir. Almost a year after announcing plans to publish the book in Fall 2018, the singer has finally revealed the title and release date. “Thanks A Lot Mr. Kibblewhite: My Story” is due to publish in the United States on October 23rd. The memoir’s synopsis reveals that “Mr. Kibblewhite” was Daltrey’s so-called “draconian headmaster” during his teenage years, who he says helped him turn his rebellious life around after being expelled from school at age 15. The frontman will also be hosting a launch event at the 2018 London Literature Festival on October 18th, the same day as the memoir’s United Kingdom release. An autographed photo of Daltrey is available to win in a contest for fans who pre-order the book.
Slash has served up a new single featuring Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators, “Driving Rain,” off of their upcoming album “Living the Dream.” Hear the new song to the right. Kennedy describes the single as “reminiscent of vintage Aerosmith,” the song kicking off with a bluesy riff by the Guns N’ Roses guitarist that he riffs off of throughout the song, along with some killer solos, of course. In a statement about the new track, Slash remembers playing the riff for the band for the first time during their tour supporting the 2014 album “World On Fire.” “It’s a cool guitar part we ran through, and from that point forward the rest of the song started to come together in my mind while on the road,” he says, “We put it all together this year and Myles came up with a great melody for it.”
Slash’s fourth solo album, “Living the Dream,” comes out September 21st. It’s his third album featuring Kennedy and the gang as a backing band.
