Judas Priest is serving up a killer new video for “No Surrender,” a track off their latest album “Firepower.” The video is sure to be a hit with metalheads, featuring some cool graphics of a giant flying robot cloaked in flames. The video also cuts in some clips of the band rocking out in the studio, including guitarist Glenn Tipton who recently revealed his struggle with Parkinson’s, preventing him from joining the band on their current tour. The band says the video “captures the true metal fighting spirit.” Check out the video to the right. “Firepower” has become the highest-charting album of the band’s career so far upon its release back in March. They’re currently performing the album’s heavy metal jams on tour in Europe, set to hit the US on August 21^st performing alongside Deep Purple.

A new Electric Light Orchestra box set is coming this fall. “Electric Light Orchestra – The U.K. Singles Volume One: 1972-1978” will drop September 21^st, featuring the band’s early singles, plus some B-sides. The set, re-mastered from the original ELO recordings, includes 16 7-inch vinyl discs, with reproductions of he original sleeves and labels. Songs on the album include such Top Ten hits as “Roll Over Beethoven,” “Evil Woman,” “Livin’ Thing,” “Telephone Line” and “Mr. Blue Sky.” ONE MORE THING! ELO fans are going to want to tune into Showtime Friday for the premiere of the new concert documentary, “Jeff Lynne’s ELO: Wembley or Bust,” which will air at 9 pm.

When you think of 90s new wave music you probably don’t think of Def Leppard, but that doesn’t mean the band doesn’t appreciate songs from that genre. In fact, the rockers just shared their take on the Depeche Mode classic “Personal Jesus.” The band just released their version of the song for as part of a Spotify Singles session, which also features a recording of their hit “Hysteria.”

As we previously told you, a new David Bowie box set, “David Bowie: Loving the Alien 1983-1988,” will be released October 12^th, and now we have a first taste of what to expect from it. A “2018 version” of Bowie’s “Zeroes” has just been released. The song originally appeared on Bowie’s 1987 album “Never Let Me Down.” The new version is about 90 seconds shorter than the original, and is more stripped down with new guitar work.

Foo Fighters is still on tour in support of their 2017 album “Concrete and Gold,” bringing the Rockies to the east coast during their show at Fenway Park in Boston alongside their old friend Joe Walsh for a rocked-out cover of “Rocky Mountain Way.” The band welcomed the rock icon on stage to top off a set of covers, Walsh taking over as frontman for the song and ripping into some killer solos while Dave Grohl and the rest of the gang backed him up and provided some much-deserved headbanging. The band provided the Boston crowd with takes on Ramones “Blitzkrieg Bop,” featuring Groh’s infamous rock n’ roll doctor extraordinaire Dr. Lew as a special guest, and Queen’s “Under Pressure.” See some fan-shot videos below.

Walsh hits the stage with the Eagles tomorrow night at Nationals Park in Washington, DC, as part of a three-show stint before hitting the road again in September for their Fall tour. The Foo Fighters continue their tour tonight at Blossom Music Center in Cleveland, Ohio.

When you think Indie Rock, chances are one of the first names that come up are Arcade Fire. The beloved rock band have enjoyed a lot of success over the years, but even the biggest names hit some road bumps. They’re last album “Everything Now” was hit with more criticism than the band has ever experienced, but frontman Will Butler says he received some sage advice from none other than Bruce Springsteen that helps him through the rough patch. “Bruce Springsteen told us, ‘Just make sure that you can always play shows in Spain,” Butler says, “Because there will come a time when people hate you for like a decade and you can just disappear and go play shows in Spain where people love you. And then 10 years after people will realize that you’re really great and you can go back to America.”

So, like Neil Young and David Bowie, who both came back from rough patches better than ever, let’s see what Arcade Fire serve up next after The Boss’s good advice.
