Graham King, producer of the upcoming Queen biopic “Bohemian Rhapsody,” has shared how he tackled the issue of bringing Freddie Mercury’s unique voice back to life for the movie. Mercury is portrayed in the film by Rami Malek, who was deemed perfect for the role except that he couldn’t replicate the frontman’s famous singing voice. King’s solution to the problem was to use Queen’s master recordings and layer on some vocals by Canadian singer Marc Matel. “Literally, you could close your eyes and it’s Freddie,” the producer tells Rolling Stone, “And that’s a very tough thing to do.” “Bohemian Rhapsody” is due for release on November 2nd.

Here’s something to look forward to for Tom Petty fans. A box set of unreleased material spanning Petty’s entire career, is set to be released September 28th. “American Treasure” will be made up of four CDs featuring 60 songs including previously unreleased live and studio material, and alternate versions of songs. The track list for the four-disc set has been released, along with a new song, the first new song since Petty’s death in October.The track, “Keep A Little Soul,” is a previously unreleased song from 1982, and the accompanying video features archival footage of Petty on stage, in his personal life and more.
