The Kinks are reuniting after over 2 decades. Ray Davies says he and his brother Dave Davies have been in the studio with Mick Avory. Dave and Mick have had some disagreements but they’ve been patched up as they get back to work. No dates for albums or tours but the boys are getting along and working in the studio.
Here’s another reissue for the collection, The Doors are dishing out a 50th anniversary edition of the album “Waiting for the Sun.” Of course there are extras…a lot of them….14 unreleased tracks as a matter of fact. Nine of the cuts are non polished alternate versions of some Doors tracks. These were dug up by engineer Bruce Botnick. He was the one that found them while going through his archives. You can pre-order “Waiting for the Sun” here. It’s out September 14th. But…the Doors will reissue a seven-inch single of “Hello, I Love You” on August 3rd, the 50th anniversary of “Hello” hitting Number One. You can pre-order your seven-incher here.
