Will the ‘New’ kids in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame play together and their inductions?
For Bon Jovi, Jon Bon Jovi, David Bryan, Tico Torres, Richie Sambora, who left in 2013, and original bassist Alec John Such, who departed in 1994, will all be inducted, and maybe even play together
“I haven’t had the opportunity to hear from either of them (Sambora and Such) but without a doubt, they both will be invited and asked to not only come and share it, but to perform,” Jon tells “USA Today.” As for whether Sambora would be on board for the reunion, he tells Variety, “Oh yeah. I have no problem playing. None.”
- The possibility of a Cars performance also seems likely. “We probably will,” frontman Ric Ocasek tells Rolling Stone. “I don’t know in which way we will. I’ve been thinking about that a bit since it came up. There’s all kinds of different scenarios we could do. I don’t know how, but I assume it would be expected and I’d be prepared for that.” “We haven’t talked about it yet. I’m pretty sure we will,” Cars drummer David Robinson adds. “I don’t know why we wouldn’t. I gotta drag my drums out and practice a bit.”
- Meanwhile, at least one member of The Moody Blues is down for a performance. “You know, nothing’s been said that can’t be unsaid,” Justin Hayward says of his relationship with his bandmates. “There’s no problem there. There’s certainly no bad feeling in any way. It would be lovely, but I can’t predict what will happen, and I honestly don’t know about that yet.”
- But a Dire Straits reunion seems a little more up in the air, although not out of the question. “Mark (Knoffler) is quite sort of restrained about things like this,” bassist John Illsley tells Billboard. “I’ll definitely be there, and I’ll definitely talk Mark into coming as well. It’s essentially up to him if he wants to do anything, and I completely respect his feelings about it. He doesn’t want too much white light.”
- “I’ll go if there’s a reason to go, if Mark decides he wants to go and put something together and go and perform there,” Dire Straits’ Alan Clark adds. “When people say, ‘Will the band ever get back together,’ I always say no. But will we get together for this? I don’t know. I’d be totally into the idea of it happening.”
Alice Cooper has dug way back for material to record. Cooper’s new single is called “The Sound of A,” and it’s the first song he wrote entirely on his own, in 1967. Original Alice Cooper Band bassist Dennis Dunaway rediscovered it. It will be released as a single on Feb. 23rd, but Cooper released a video for it this week.
And the U-S Postal Service will issue a stamp honouring John Lennon next year. It will be the latest in its Music Icons series.

The annual festival called Rocklahoma (It’s in Oklahoma…I wouldn’t ‘misinformya’) has announced the acts playing the festival next May. A Perfect Circle will headline with Godsmack and Poison. Cheap Trick, Vince Neil, Halestorm, Stone Temple Pilots, The Used, Underoath, Machine Gun Kelly, and Andrew W.K. will also be there.
