The Moody Blues’ second album, “Days of Future Passed,” is being reissued to celebrate its 50th anniversary. It will include a double CD & DVD version as well as a digital download. Thanks to some new technology they’ve fixed the album’s damaged master tape of the original mix of the 1967 stereo tapes which will also be released on vinyl. The set also includes BBC Radio session performances, and a DVD with previously unreleased footage of the band performing three tracks at a concert on January 24, 1968. And the Moody Blues will continue with their “Days Of Future Passed 50th Anniversary Tour” into next year. Click here for a complete list of dates.
This week would have been John Lennon‘s 77th birthday. Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr both posted pics of themselves with Lennon on Twitter. Macca shared a photo of him and John in the studio along with the caption “reaching out to Johnny on his birthday.” Starr also posted an old photo of himself and Lennon. He adds, “they say it’s your birthday peace and love.”
