Gord Downie has a new solo album coming out featuring 23 new songs. It’s called “Introduce Yerself” and it’s out Oct. 27. He released “Secret Path” last year. That was a combo of an album, graphic novel and film based on the Chanie Wenjack story. Chanie was a boy who died trying to escape a residential school. More on Downie’s website HERE.

Aerosmith is cancelling the final four shows of the current tour in South America, so Steven Tyler can get back to the States for medical treatment. Tyler said it’s not life threatening but he needs to deal with it immediately.
Bryan Adams and his songwriting partner Jim Vallance have written the music for a new musical based on the film “Pretty Woman.” The show will play for 5 weeks in Chicago in March then move to Broadway in the fall of 2018.
The Frank Zappa hologram tour is not going over well with his son, Dweezil Zappa. Dweezil said “not interested in participating in anything with an artificial version of my father on stage.” The family is battling in court over control of Frank Zappa’s estate. Dweezil says the estate preventing him from using the Zappa Plays Zappa name on tour and the estate claims to own his name “Dweezil Zappa.”
Robert Plant‘s newest single from his album “Carry Fire” is a cover of “Bluebirds Over The Mountain” and features Chrissie Hynde. The album is out October 13th and he’ll be going on tour to support it beginning February 9th. He’ll play Toronto’s Massey Hall Feb 17th…Click HERE for tickets.
