Shy Girl (her text name) nailed it when she texted us the answer.  She wins the coveted Drive coffee mug and 10 New York Fries Bucks!  And don’t tell anyone but beef is back at New York Fries with their Beef Lovers Poutine.  (for our What The Heck is That answer, scroll down)

The Rock flew the family of a young boy that saved his brother’s life, to his movie set in Vancouver, just to meet him and celebrate his heroism.

Jacob was super nervous and shy the whole time we hung out, so it was fun getting him to laugh and talk. He threw me for an unexpected spin when he showed up on set wearing a shirt that he proudly made with my bull insignia on the front and on the back was the picture of me holding our two puppies, Brutus and Hobbs, after I rescued them from our pool. Seeing that picture on this boy’s shirt, got me in the gut. Eventually, we would lose Brutus to heaven, but it wasn’t the picture of Brutus that made me tear up, it was the fact that this 10yr old kid, had a heart big enough to put our puppies on his shirt after he saved his little 2yr old brother’s life. What a special day. What a special kid. Thanks Jacob for being awesome and for being the kind of person we all aspire to be. ~ DJ

Ricky Gervais has announced a Vancouver stop on his worldwide Humanity tour, his first worldwide stand-up tour in seven years and he’ll perform at at Queen Elizabeth Theatre on Monday, January 29, 2018.Tickets go on sale this Friday ,September 8th at 10 am at LIVENATION.COM

Some Music News;

U2 has released the first song and video from their upcoming album “Song of Experience.”  It’s called “You’re The Best Thing About Me.”  Check out the video.  They plan to perform the song on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon tomorrow night.

We have a picture of the dude who will play Freddie Mercury in the Queen biopic “Bohemian Rhapsody.”   Rami Malek looks pretty much like the real deal but is it just me or is there a lot of ‘touch up’ in this pic?  The pic was released during an interview on Entertainment Weekly yesterday.

James Hetfield, lead singer and guitarist for Mettalica…pulled an ‘Edge.’  Ok he didn’t off the stage but he did fall face-first on the floor and on his guitar. He was very still until a pair of stagehands helped him up.   He finished the song then told the audience… “Yes, I’m OK. My ego? Not so much.”    Not the first time he’s been hurt on stage.  He was burned by pyrotechnics back in 1992 at a show in Montreal.

It’s been almost 20 years since the death of INXS frontman Michael Hutchence.  A new documentary Hutchence will premier Australia in November.  Check out the trailer below.

Remember Squeeze? “…Tempted by the fruit of another…”  Ok they’ve had other stuff since then but they’re releasing a new album October 13th.  It’s titled “The Knowledge” and they’ve released the first single.  Check out the video.
