It’s Chop Suey Day. It’s a stir-fry made with a hodgepodge of ingredients like egg, meat, and vegetables. The name “chop suey” comes from a Cantonese word meaning “odds and ends.” So we asked if you make your own Chinese food and Shannon said she’d share the recipe for her sweet and sour sauce meatballs.
So after they saw how simple the recipe is Catherine challenged Doug to a “Ball Off!” They’re both making their own variation of Shannon’s recipe and Mike & Char (101.3 The River) will be the judges tomorrow morning on 99.3 The Drive.
BTW that’s the tie dye shirt Doug’s daughter Hannah made for him.

Brian Johnson joined Muse at the Reading Festival this weekend to sing “Back in Black.” It’s the first time he’s sang an AC/DC song on stage since he was told to stop touring or risk total deafness. He did join Robert Plant & Paul Rodgers to sing “Money (That’s What I Want)” at a concert in England.
Bryan Adam, Bachman Turner and some other Canadian acts are welcoming Bruce Springsteen to join the lineup of artists at the closing ceremonies of the 2017 Invictus Games in Toronto September 30th. Bruce says “At the Invictus Games, it’s not just about the hurdles that competitors experienced during competition, but about overcoming the obstacles that life has presented them.” And “The Games are a remarkable opportunity for brothers and sisters in arms to join forces and demonstrate the true strength of their spirit. It is an absolute honor and privilege to perform for them at the Closing Ceremony as a send-off to a week of competition in Toronto.”
Some lost Bob Dylan footage on tour has been compiled as part of a documentary which will premiere at the New York Film Festival. They’re calling it “Trouble No More.” The video is from his 1979/80 tour so there’s no chance any of us from Prince George will be seen in the crowd.
