We talked about a lot of Stuff this morning, including a 73 year old newscaster in New York who’s been at it for 51 years. So we asked who locally has been at their job the longest. Norm texted “Joanne at the front counter at Loomis has been there for 35 yrs.” Cory texted “Not sure this is anything to brag about but… I’ve been doing the same type of office work for about 35 years. 20 of that with the same company.” Another text “Cyril at Wood Wheaton – 38 years”
We got a calls John Brink celebrating some long time employees and another business with employees going on 40 years.
And Alex Allan has been working at Allan Scrap & Salvage even longer.
For the second time this summer, the Little Prince is being parked. Again, it’s due to wildfire concerns. The Exploration place says the hot conditions and poor air quality were both factors in the decision Little Prince will be off the rails until further notice.
We talked invasive species yesterday (giant hogwood plant ) checkout the animals that are invasive species in BC from the Invasive Species Council’s website. They say don’t feed Eastern Grey Squirrels, use squirrel proof bird feeders and don’t relocate them.
But they’re so cute!

Bruce Springsteen has a Broadway show set for the fall. He said the show is…” just me, the guitar, the piano and the words and music. Some of the show is spoken, some of it is sung. A nice tribute to Motörhead‘s Lemmy Kilmister is baring it’s ferocious teeth at London’s Natural History Museum. It’s a prehistoric crocodile fossil that wrongly categorized with some sea crocodiles. When they corrected that mistake they renamed the creature to honour Lemmy. The new name, Lemmysuchus obtusidens. The dudes in the white lab coats call it “one of the nastiest sea creatures to have ever inhabited the earth.”
Although it hasn’t been absolutely confirmed, it looks pretty good that a Pearl Jam movie called “Let’s Play Two,” is coming this fall. Check out the teaser.
Gregg Allman’s final album “Southern Blood,” comes out September 8th. The first single is already out. Now the lyric video for that single “My Only True Friend,” is out and you can watch it on our blog. It has some pics you’ve never seen before and some shots of Greg and the band. 3….The number of people pee’d on at the Metallica show in Glendale, Arizona. A 10-year-old and her parents, felt warm liquid on their backs and legs. When Dad turned around he saw that 44-year-old Daniel Francis Daddio had exposed himself. The father understandably confronted Daddio, who allegedly shrugged.
Daddio is now facing disorderly conduct and indecent exposure charges. Not surprisingly, police claim he was “very drunk.”
