The video is now out for Simon Cowell’s all-star version of Simon & Garfunkel’s “Bridge Over Troubled Waters” to raise money for the victims of the Grenfell Tower Disaster in England. The fire killed 79 people. All proceeds from the song will go to The London Community Foundation to help the victims of the fire. There is also a website set up where folks can donate money
Gene Simmons of KISS has given up his attempt to trademark the devil horns hand gesture. The U-S Patent and Trademark Office states the application has been withdrawn. Simmons had put in the application two weeks ago. The metal community ridiculed Simmons for that move. Simmons’ representative has not returned requests for comment.

Fifty years after he finished short by one English class credit from graduating high school, Billy Joel is returning to his Long Island hometown to speak at this weekend’s commencement ceremony. The 68-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Famer didn’t graduate with the class of 1967 because he had fallen shy by one English credit. But he returned for the 1992 graduation ceremony and received his diploma, telling the audience, “I can finally pull myself out of this dead-end job I have and start working on a career with a real future.” Joel is in the midst of a tour.
Percussionist Bo Wagner of the band Starbuck died earlier this week at the age of 72 .No word on the cause. Starbuck had a number-three hit in 1976 with “Moonlight Feels Right.” Singer Bruce Blackman says they had talked about recording another Starbuck album two years ago but their lives got in the way. They did a concert in Atlanta in August billed as “Starbuck’s Farewell Performance” and Blackman says they had no idea how prophetic that would be.
