They’re calling it The Classic East and The Classic West. It’s 2 days of concerts featuring The Eagles, Steely Dan and The Doobie Brothers (on the Saturday), and Fleetwood Mac, Earth Wind & Fire and Journey (on the Sunday). This will be the first concert for the Eagles after the death of Glen Frey. The East West bit refers to the fact they’ll do it twice, in the West at Dodger Stadium July 15th & 16th. Then they’ll do it again in the East July 29th & 30th at New York’s Citi Field. Tickets, reportedly ranging in price from $150 to $950, go on sale April 7th at 10 am local time. Fans will be purchasing one ticket that gets them into both days of the concert, with no single-day tickets being sold.
Lenny Kravitz has been added to the lineup of next month’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Lenny will be on hand to perform a special tribute to Prince at the April 7th event at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, New York. George Harrison’s son Dhani Harrison, will induct Electric Light Orchestra and Pat Monahan, from Train will induct Journey. HBO will air it all April 29th at 8 pm.
